Chocolate Christmas Tree for the beginning of Advent

Share

Annual preparation for Christmas is coming to order. The Advent Calendar, gingerbread cookies, mushrooms, dumplings, herrings and Christmas tree; everything has its proper time, even cleaning the apartment and pre-Christmas window cleaning. Some people say that even if the windows are dirty, Christmas will still happen, and that's true. But I like to spend Christmas time in a clean home. Thanks to these activities, little by little, we make the magic of Christmas.

Today I would like to share with you the recipe for chocolate Christmas tree cake. I fill it with cream made with mascarpone cheese, white chocolate and cherry confiture. Add some colourful Christmas confectionery decorations and the Christmas table is complete. If you decide to make this cake, bake it one day before. It is easier to cut and decorate it.

Ingredients:
dough
110g of flour
100ml of oil
1 banana
1 tablespoon of peanut butter
100g of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of cocoa
150ml of natural yoghurt
1 teaspoon of baking powder
a pinch of salt
100g of chocolate drops
cream
250g of mascarpone cheese
100g of white chocolate
100g cherry confiture

Heat the oven up to 170C. Blend the banana, vanilla essence, sugar, yoghurt, and peanut butter very thoroughly. Mix the flour, baking powder and salt in a separate bowl. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix them in. Add the chocolate drops and mix again. Put the dough into a baking tin in the shape of a Christmas tree and bake for 50-55 minutes. Take the cake out of the oven and leave to cool down.
Put the cherry confiture into a pan and boil for a while until it is thicker and then blend it. Leave to cool down.
Melt the white chocolate in a bain-marie and leave to cool down. Whisk the mascarpone cheese to make it fluffier. Add the white chocolate and stir thoroughly.
Cut the cake into halves. Spread the lower half with the cherry confiture. Put the cream on the confiture and cover with the second half of the cake. Decorate the cake just as you like.
Leave the cake in the fridge for a few hours.

Enjoy your meal!
