Almond-chocolate cake

I think the winter is coming. Today I prepared chocolate cake, which I usually make when it is drab outside. My children like it. Sometimes I think that I could make chocolate cake or chocolate muffins every week and they would never get fed up. I guess I won't be trying this. I don't want to starve myself of apple pie or cake with plums. After all, I don't only prepare desserts for my children.


Ingredients (20 cm cake tin)
100g of chocolate
100g of butter
2 tablespoons of cocoa
50ml of water
125g of sugar
130g of flour
3 tablespoons of ground almonds
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 banana
2 tablespoons of natural yoghurt
chocolate icing
almond flakes


Heat the oven up to 185C. Cover a cake tin with some baking paper.
Chop half of the chocolate and set it aside. Put the cocoa, butter, water and sugar into a saucepan with a heavy bottom. Heat them on a low heat. Add the rest of the not chopped chocolate and boil on a low heat until the chocolate is melted and the ingredients are perfectly mixed. Leave to cool down. Blend the banana with the natural yoghurt. Add the banana mixture, flour, ground almonds and baking powder to the chocolate mixture. Mix them in thoroughly. Add the chopped chocolate. Put the dough into the cake tin. Bake for 45 minutes.
Decorate with the chocolate icing and sprinkle with the roast almond flakes before serving.
