Focaccia is a kind of bread which may be a solo dish or, for example, a pizza base. Depending on the part of Italy you visit, you can get different focaccia: with rosemary, tomatoes (fresh or dried), olives or salt. I like fresh hot focaccia with rosemary, cherry tomatoes and black olives. I like to dip it in olive oil. I need a glass of my favourite wine and the beginning of a nice evening is ready.

Ingredients:
250 g of flour
125ml of warm water
4 tablespoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon of sugar
2 teaspoons of salt
5 g of instant yeast
a few sliced black olives
a few cherry tomatoes
2 twigs of rosemary

Apart from ecological matters, there is another reason why I don't buy chocolate cream Nutella. I love it and I'm able to eat any amount of it. I know it is so sweet, and I shouldn't do this, but it is beyond my control. When the jar is open, I have to eat Nutella. So I don't buy it. If I don't have Nutella, I can't eat it.

This year during the holiday I made a mistake and I bought some jam with peaches and chocolate. It tasted just like Nutella. Unfortunately, the ingredients of the little treat were strange, so I decided to prepare fruit jam with chocolate in my kitchen. I swapped peaches for plums, because I thought that the jam would be less sweet. If you would like to make a drier taste, you need to add a bit of bitter cocoa. If you buy less sweet plums, add a bit more sugar. Try it yourself. As a precaution I made only a small portion. Mrugnięcie

Ingredients:
0.5 kg of plums
4 tablespoons of brown sugar
a pinch of cinnamon
40g of milk chocolate
60g of dark chocolate

I think everybody knows what soft-boiled egg is. Of course, not everybody likes it, especially if it is very soft-boiled and the egg white is almost liquid. My son doesn't like such eggs, but if the white has the proper texture and the yolk is wonderfully smooth, he may eat even a few eggs.

Recently, I remembered how my dad served soft-boiled eggs. I decided to make this dish for my son, and it was a really good idea. I took two soft-boiled eggs out of their shells, put them into a glass (it should be a glass so you can see it) with a bit of butter and chopped chives, and I had a breakfast full of memories.

Many people call them Viennese eggs; we called them eggs in a glass. I also served a crunchy kaiser roll, which you can dip into the smooth yolk, fresh tomato and cocoa. I have a lot of nice memories connected with this dish. I hope that my children will also remember eggs in a glass with fondness.

Ingredients (for 1 person)
2 eggs
half a teaspoon of butter
1 teaspoon of chopped chives
additionally:
crunchy kaiser roll
tomato

I heard a beautiful saying once: cooking is a way of showing love. Not without reason it is said that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. It works also for women. A man in the kitchen is sexy, even if he makes a mess.

This year I have used strawberries for all kinds of dishes. I don't remember a year when I ate so many strawberries. When I'm fed up with them, I remind myself that I will have to wait until June next year for more fruit, and then I buy another basket.

Today I would like to share with you the recipe for easy starters which could be the beginning of a romantic evening. You need only strawberries, cheese (I used goat cheese, but blue cheese would be excellent), pistachios, balsamic vinegar and a few basil leaves.

Ingredients:
10 big strawberries
2 slices of goat cheese
2 tablespoons of balsamic
a fistful of pistachios
leaves of basil
salt and lemon pepper

When I saw in the newspaper a photo with a shortbread croissant with sweet cottage cheese and fruit I thought it must be yummy and excellent idea for a holiday breakfast. Only during the holiday can we celebrate breakfast prepared slowly and eaten with relish. You don't need to hurry yourself or your children. You can sit down to a beautifully set table and enjoy the delicious delights. I replaced the shortbread croissant with larger breakfast croissants and I used fresh fruit in season. You may use your favourite bread. Brew up your favourite tea, or maybe you prefer cocoa or fragrant coffee. A glass of freshly squeezed orange juice complements the perfect breakfast. You must admit that it sounds great.

Ingredients (for 2 people)
2 big croissants
150g of cottage cheese
100g of natural yoghurt
2 teaspoons of sugar
2 teaspoons of peanut butter
2 fistfuls of favourite fruit
